Privacy, in plain words
Last updated October 18, 2026
What we collect
- Your email (to send alerts) and ZIP code (to pick local listings).
- Your kids' ages or grades, interests and budget choice. Never names or birthdays.
- Basic delivery records (sent, bounced, complained) from our email provider so we can stop mailing addresses that bounce.
- For the waitlist: a ZIP and, if you choose, an email.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting your data. Ever.
- No ad trackers or third-party analytics scripts on this site.
- No passwords to leak: you manage everything from the private link in each email.
Your private calendar link
After confirming, you get a calendar feed at a long random URL. Anyone with that link can see which deadlines match your filters (not your email), so don't post it publicly. You can reset it from your manage page or by emailing us.
Kids
SnagTheSpot is for parents and guardians. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we don't ask for children's names or birthdays.
Leaving
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops all mail and turns off your calendar feed. To delete your record completely, reply to any email with "delete" and we'll erase it within 30 days.
Service providers
We use a hosting provider and an email delivery provider (planned: Amazon SES) only to run the service.
